You can change the text size of web pages by choosing the best size for you in your web browser. In the Internet Explorer, Firefox and Netscape browsers the method is very similar. In the Opera browser it is slightly different, and if you find yourself still having text size problems with any other browwser I would recommend trying the Opera browser. All are detailed below:
Internet Explorer, Firefox (Mozilla), and Netscape. |
To change the text size left-click 'View' on the menu in the top left corner, this gives you a selection of viewing options. Move your mouse/cursor down to the 'Text size' option and then left click on the option you need. The options might say 'Larger', 'Smaller', 'Increase', or 'Decrease' etc. See screenshot of Internet Explorer opposite.
These options can be applied or changed back at any time and on any web site. Unfortunately however it doesn't always work, sometimes links are treated differently to text on this and many other sites; for which I apologise. |

There are 2 ways to change the viewing size of text and entire pages in the Opera browser.
The first (shown to the left) is by zooming in on the page by clicking 'View', 'Zoom' and then selecting a higher or smaller than 100%(normal) size. This method increases the size of the entire page and will normally mean you will have to scroll to see both the left and right sides of a page.
The second method changes only the text (including links). Click on 'Tools' then click on 'Preferences'. You will see a menu as shown below. Click on 'Advanced' and change the 'Minimum font size' option to a higher number. |
