Aylesbury Town Centre

The Aylesbury Arm continues on right into the town centre. Before the Oakfield road bridge is a horse grazing field popular with Canada Geese, Swans, Coots, Moorhens and Mallard ducks. The first few resident narrowboats can be seen here, as well as a little waterfall before passing Tesco, a new residential development and finally the short stretch to the Aylesbury Canal Basin. The Ship Inn that used to be at the end of the canal has been knocked down, and the land on one side of the basin is under redevelopment. The Aylesbury Canal Society and a number of residential moorings can be found at the basin.
