Aylesbury Arm onwards

Swanscanalbird

The Aylesbury Arm continues on from Broughton for a few miles to meet The Grand Union canal at Bulbourne. It's perfect for a gentle cycle ride except for a rather rutted section opposite Bates boatyard. Fishing and walking are also very popular along this stretch. Shortly after turning right onto the grand union is the wendover arm, which runs alongside Tring, before becoming unnavigable to boats, and it carries on into wendover. If you carry on along the Grand Union, past the Wendover Arm, you reach Marsworth and several pubs; The Anglers Retreat, Junction Arms and the Bluebells cafe, and a collection of reservoirs with a variety of water bird life.
